Dr. Arthur A. Boni
Dr. Arthur A. Boni currently serves as the deputy director of Donald H. Jones Center for Entrepreneurship and John R. Thorne Professor of Entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon University. He contributes decades of experience of funding and managing successful start-ups in the biomedical industry. Dr. Boni was the founding CEO of PSI Medical, Inc. which developed an FDA approved minimally invasive surgical device for treating kidney stones. He was also the founding CEO of SynAx Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a drug development company specializing in central nervous system drugs. He was also managing director and CEO of SciVision, a joint venture company that developed and marketed molecular modeling and associated applications software. Dr. Boni holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and a Ph.D. in Engineering Science and Physics from UC San Diego.
Peter M. DeComo
Mr. DeComo is the Chairman of ClearCount’s Board. He also currently serves as the Chairman and CEO of ALung Technologies, Chairman and Co-Founder of ThermalTherapeutic Solutions and Managing Director of Corridor Venture Partners. Prior, he was the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Renal Solutions, Inc. and led the company through product development and into commercialization when it was acquired by Fresenius Medical Care. He was previously the COO of HemoTherapies Inc. where he led the commercialization of the only FDA-cleared Liver Dialysis System. Mr. DeComo was Senior Vice President of the Specialty Pharmacy Division for Olsten Health Services, now Accredo, a $600 million specialty pharmacy provider. Prior to joining Olsten, Mr. DeComo held numerous senior level positions in the health care industry.
Dean Morris
Dean Morris is the co-inventor of the SmartSponge® technology and Managing Partner of Surgical Resources, LLC. Mr. Morris, along with his wife, a periOperative nurse, initially conceived the RFID tracking idea and filed the original patents that are the basis of the ClearCount’s intellectual property. Mr. Morris is a Marketing and Investment Advisory Consultant with over ten years of senior level experience in the investment banking and investment advisory industry. He has an MBA from Loyola University, New Orleans and a BS in Finance from the University of New Orleans.
Steven F. Rueb
Steven F. Rueb is Chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee for Dorsey & Company’s registered investment advisory division and serves on both the executive committee and the board of directors of Dorsey & Company Inc. Mr. Rueb is a member of Financial Analysts of New Orleans, and New Orleans Council for Business Economics. Mr. Rueb has a B. A. in Economics from Trinity University and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance from the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
John M. Petersen
Mr. Petersen was the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Erie Insurance Group. He was also the President & Chief Executive Officer of Erie Indemnity Company, Erie Family Life Insurance Company, EI Service Corporation, Flagship City Insurance Company, Erie Insurance Property & Casualty Company and Erie Insurance of New York. Mr. Petersen currently serves as a director for Cardiorobotics, Neograft, Telecardia, Blue Belt Technologies, ClearCount Medical Solutions, FI-360, Therm Med LLC, SanPath LLC, KC Energy LLC, Therm Cardiac Therapies LLC, CCK Targeting LLC and KCRS/PIHMS. He was also the founder and a director for 40 years at Spectrum Control, Inc. Mr. Petersen was an investment consultant for seven years in which he managed $4.6 billion dollars of equity money. Mr. Petersen currently is involved with and or manages over 15 various LLCs and start-up companies.
Richard C. Petersen Jr.
Mr. Petersen is currently the President of Petersen Jr. Enterprises. He spent 32 years with GM/DELPHI before he retired as the General Director of Corporate Planning for Delphi-Steering. He has been recognized in Who’s Who for U.S. Executives and as one of the Outstanding Young Men of America. He is currently the Executive Director for the Petersen Foundation and a Director for Cardiorobotics, Neograft, Telecardia, ClearCount Medical Solutions, and Blue Belt Technologies. He is also an Executive Advisor for Therm Med LLC, SanPath LLC, KC Energy LLC, Therm Cardiac Therapies LLC and CCK Targeting LLC.
Mike Stubler
Mr. Stubler is a Managing Director and co-founder of Draper Triangle Ventures, an affiliate of Draper Fisher Jurvertson. He serves on the board of Active Media, Ayalogic, ClearCount Medical Solutions, Unitask, and TOA Technologies and previously served to oversee the Fund’s investment in Renal Solutions. Mr. Stubler is a Director and President of the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association and a Director of the Ohio Venture Association. He has over 20 years of experience with start-up technology companies both as a co-founder and early stage investor. Prior to Draper Triangle, Mr. Stubler spent the majority of his career serving as CFO of several successful technology companies, where he not only directed the financial and business operations, but also acquisitions, mergers and capital raising functions. Mr. Stubler graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA.
